Cook Off – Potjie Style!

Tastebuds have been tantalised and tough competition marinading over at the MCG offices in South Africa as the teams have been running a potjie competition!

A ‘potjie’ directly translates as a ‘little pot’ and is a 3-legged iron pot used for cook-offs using a South African cooking technique where various ingredients are layered in the pot and cooked over a fire for hours to create a delicious potjie stew.

Five teams have risen to the challenge to create the most delicious potjie, many pulled out all the stops, with some even dressing up in themed outfits to complement their menus. Dishes of chicken and prawn curry, a lamb safari special and a braai (barbecue) have been enjoyed throughout the cook offs so far alongside a music quiz and Halloween fun thrown in for good measure.

Congratulations to the 'Construction Team' who donned hard hats and high vis to cook up a delicious winning meal and be crowned culinary masters.
