Giving the Gift of Christmas

Our MCG offices in South Africa have brought a little festive cheer to the children at Philakahle Children's Home in Hillcrest.

To coincide with Christmas Jumper Day, our Durban and Johannesburg offices decided to support the Santa Shoebox Project. Everyone was given a name, age, gender and clothes size of a specific child at the orphanage for them to fill a shoe box with presents for the child to open on Christmas Day. The list of items to pack included: clothes, toys, stationary, a toothbrush, soap, a facecloth, etc.

Julia Reader, Team Manager at MCG's Durban office visited with other MCG colleagues to give the presents, she said: "There were 11 beautiful kiddies at the orphanage and we each gave a child a box. It was probably more special for us staff than the kids, just a humbling experience which we treasured."
