Our MCG IR35 Hub has launched

Businesses operating within the private sector are preparing for the upcoming changes to off-payroll working rules. The new legislation, also known as IR35, is set to come into effect on 6 April 2021. For businesses that are reliant on bringing in contractors for specific projects or to provide specialised knowledge and expertise, now is the time to get all of your ducks in a row ahead of the deadline.

IR35 is a UK tax legislation that is designed to identify contractors and businesses which are avoiding paying the appropriate tax by working as ‘disguised’ employees, or are engaging workers on a self-employed basis to ‘disguise’ their true employment status. Currently the onus on deciding whether a contractor falls inside or outside of the legislation falls to the employee, but this is set to change on the 6 April.

To help answer all of your IR35 questions, and to provide a source of ongoing support, we’ve created the IR35 Hub.
