Recruitment firm to expand with funding line

A Hertfordshire-headquartered staffing firm is setting up new recruitment divisions and looking to open its seventh UK base after securing a multimillion-pound funding package from Lloyds Bank.

McGinley Human Resources (MHR) was set up in 2011 by MCG Group, with the aim of growing its offering in new sectors and to move away from a reliance on the UK's construction industry.

The business already provides a specialist multi-sector service to the aviation, construction, scientific and energy markets, and is now expanding into both education and healthcare after securing an £8m specialist funding line from Lloyds Bank Global Transaction Banking.

MHR is also making plans to open its first office in central London during 2016, in addition to five existing office hubs in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Farnborough and Cambridge, alongside its headquarters in Watford.

MHR is run by managing director Colm McGinley, son of MCG Group's co-founder Seamus McGinley.

Colm McGinley said: "The business has set itself an ambitious five-year growth plan, with sales expected to exceed £75m by 2018. This year has so far seen us set up our new education division and we are also developing a specialism in healthcare recruitment in 2015.

"Having built strong relationships with other key sectors in the UK, we felt confident that we could apply this knowledge to new areas. Compliance is a key focus of our recruiting expertise, and is something that the healthcare and education industries in particular place great importance on."
