We are delighted to announce the acquisition of staffing agency Simply Education, with the deal officially completing on Friday 30 August 2019.
Simply Education have been operating for thirteen years under the leadership of founders Adam and Victoria Shulman. The agency provide recruitment services to schools across fourteen different counties in the UK and this acquisition bolsters MCG Group’s presence in the Education recruitment sector and means that we now operate ten companies across five core sectors (Aerospace, Construction, Education, Healthcare and Technology).
Colm McGinley, CEO of MCG Group, said of the acquisition “We are delighted to welcome Simply Education to the McGinley team. The acquisition is our largest to date and will further strengthen our Group, building on the start we have already made in the education market. Whilst we continue to grow organically, this further supports our 5-year growth plans and means that we are now employing in excess of 200 great people.”

With our existing education company, McGinley Education, operating in and around the North-West of England and Simply Education predominantly supporting the South and Midlands, there is already great potential to maximise and align the regional strengths of both operations. We foresee great times ahead for Simply Education.”
As part of the deal, Adam and Victoria will continue their leadership roles at Simply Education for a further two years to ensure a smooth transition period for all their clients, candidates and employees. Simply Education will retain its well-established trading name and instead the Group plan to merge the McGinley Education brand into Simply Education over time to give all their education clients greater access to teachers and opportunities nationwide.

The decision however was made easier as we have complete confidence that MCG Group will continue that success, and support the company on its path to becoming the most respected education recruiter in the UK. Myself and Victoria will still be here for the next two years overseeing the transition and I personally want to thank all our clients and candidates for their loyal support up until now and as we continue on our journey.”
MCG Group are currently the second fastest growing recruitment group in the UK & Ireland and this will be our third acquisition over the past year (adding First Choice Recruitment Ltd into our construction portfolio in 2018 and technology recruitment agency Creative Personnel Ltd in May 2019).
